Strategic Partner Manager

An opening has arisen for a Strategic Partner Manager to develop our technology alliance partnerships with various OEM manufacturers / suppliers providing industrial grade products and solutions for our product portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in a field based business development, sales and account management as well as a product management role with proven experience in delivering a multimillion sales target. We are looking for an individual with experience in solution orientated selling of industrial compute platforms from a computing or technology related sales / product management background.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in selling industrial grade products and solutions into various vertical markets. Ideally they will need to have a baseline understanding of industrial compute and 19” Rack architectures.  Whilst the role is commercial and does not call for detailed technical depth, this is a desirable component, ideally including awareness of COTS+ industry and customer requirements.

This position calls for a candidate that has experience in developing technology and product alliances with industry leading manufacturers combined with the development of sales strategies, with innovative and enthusiastic contributions. This role requires the candidate to take on a mix of both vendor management and business development in order to manage the strategic partners as well as develop their sales pipeline and forecast to achieve the required sales targets and objectives.

There will be support from all areas of the company in order to help them provide the strategic partners and customers with the most effective and relevant information to support technical requirements. We will expect the successful candidate to immerse themselves in understanding our build and configure to order solutions capability, and be able to derive the benefits and features of our offerings in order to provide the most suitable solution to our customers, and persuade them of our value proposition.

Required Experience & Skillset:
  • Currently in an office based product management / sales role with field sales responsibility with a minimum of 5+ years track record.
  • Proven experience in delivering £1-2million+ sales target consistently year on year.
  • Consultative/solution orientated selling experience with customer base deploying industrial computing & industrial 19” Rack platforms.
  • Industrial B2B market sector experience with an industrial computing, electronics, IT/technology related background.
  • Ability to work with customers on a project basis with extensive design in’s and long sales cycles.
  • Well established and polished customer facing sales skills building long term relationships.
  • Commercially astute with a sound understanding of business processes, excellent organisational skills in the areas of time management and work scheduling/prioritisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A good baseline technical background/knowledge/interest with a desire to learn and develop further – we are not expecting finished articles, as these are development roles!
  • A base level understanding of 19-inch rack architectures, computing and ruggedised tablets.
  • An awareness of mechanical structures, cable management, power distribution, environmental management and general IT and communications payloads.
  • Some prior experience in technically specifying, configuring or supporting technical solutions.

Business Development Manager

An opening has arisen for a specialist Business Development Manager to develop targeted opportunities and win business for our expanding Industrial Computing and Rack Integration business units. The successful candidate will have a strong background in a field based business development, sales and account management role with proven experience in delivering a multimillion sales target.

We are looking for an individual with experience in solution orientated selling of industrial computers & 19” industrial racks from a computing, electronics or technology related background.

The candidate will need to be a self-starter who is able to manage their own time and prioritise effectively. They need to be able to embrace challenges, and strive to consistently improve their performance to hit their targets in an independent environment.

This position calls for a candidate that has experience in devising prospect and account development sales strategies, with innovative and enthusiastic contributions. They need to be experienced in targeting key accounts with the ability to grow, with a strategic plan in order to execute the activities needed to increase customer sales.

This role requires the candidate to take on a mix of both business development in order to develop their pipeline and follow-on account management once customers are secured.

There will be support from all areas of the company in order to help them to provide customers with the most effective and relevant information to support technical requirements. Project Manager

Reporting to the Engineering Services Group Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning and managing projects on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To take ownership for all aspects of the project, from creation to final delivery, monitoring financial and milestone progress.
  • Responsible for risk management, plan development and mitigation strategy.
  • Liaise with all aspects of the organization, including Sales, Production and Engineering, clearly communicating project timeframes, deliverables and dependencies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to cost and timescale. Create and maintain an internal and customer change log.
  • Maintain project files ensuring that all project related documentation is created and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and track project related KPIs and prepare update reports for the Management Team.
  • Undertake analysis of projects with lessons learnt and improvement actions.
Required Experience & Skillset:
  • An experienced Project manager with a minimum of 7 years technology project delivery.
  • Experience of projects involving mechanical, electronic or electromechanical hardware.
  • Capability to successfully manage and implement multiple projects concurrently to time and budget.
  • Ability to communicate the plan, responsibilities and actions to the project team clearly and without ambiguity.
  • A Graduate in an engineering related subject or qualified by experience.
  • Capable of taking ownership for all aspects of the project, from creation to final delivery, monitoring financial and milestone progress.
  • Experienced in working in a quick-paced matrix organisation.
  • Competent in using MS Project and MS Office products in general.

Desirable:
