Account Manager – North

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a field based Account Manager position for specialised computing equipment.

In this role you will work alongside an experienced business development director supporting with the management and development of a small number of existing key accounts. You will get the opportunity to learn and develop key account management skills as well as undertake new business development of your own to create your own future accounts.

The key accounts are centred around the Nottingham area so a candidate within a 30 mile radius of this area would be preferred.  Working predominantly out of a home office with regular monthly visits to the company’s offices in Fareham (Hampshire).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with the management of key major accounts through regular contact and understanding their business, products and competitors. Expect this to be 60-75% of your working week.
• Engage in own business development work to identify new opportunities leading to own future key accounts. Expect this to be 25-40% of your working week.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities within existing key accounts.
• Harvest business intelligence to share within the sales organisation and feeder material for marketing.
• Participate with the resolution of account issues or problems in an efficient and cost effective way.
• Attend customer QBR and business meetings where appropriate and document accordingly.
• Manage reporting of activities and pipeline/key account sales revenue forecasts, with appropriate risk analysis to mitigate potential slippage.
• Contribute towards the achievement of sales and margin targets.
• Preparation of professional sales quotations/proposals with customer engagement to deliver winning outcomes.

Required Experience & Skillset:

Prior experience of customer facing account management and Business Development skills.
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of business processes and an abundance of common sense.
• Enterprise/B2B market sector experience with preferably a business, computing, electronics, IT/technology related background.
• Ability to extract information through structured questions and offer data driven opportunity recommendations.
• Excellent organisational, time management and work scheduling/prioritisation skills.
• Effective communicator with proven ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Confident presenter of information to small or large audiences, able to deliver a persuasive customer context value proposition specific to the needs of individual customers.
• Good problem solving skills, utilising data/statistical and analytical methods to resolve commercial issues.
• Knowledgeable and competent user of current day office automation packages.

External Sales Manager

To support company growth, a new senior position has arisen for an External Sales Manager to manage the external sales team driving sales growth on our range of Specialised Computing Platforms.

What will make you a success in this role? That will no doubt be your strong background in people management, new business development and proven track record in delivering sales target in excess of £20million plus. Your experience in solution orientated selling in computing, electronics or technology related background will also be desirable. With your team you will be expected to develop a strong pipeline of new accounts which are rewarded with a high rate of commission as well as account manage existing customers.

This position calls for a candidate that has a proven track record in leading and developing a team for sustained sales performance. Experience in completing and executing sector and customers sales strategies with innovation and enthusiasm.

Working predominantly in the field with your team with regular monthly visits to the company’s offices in Fareham (Hampshire).

Required Experience & Skillset:

• Currently in a field sales management role with a minimum of 5+ years track record.
• Proven experience in delivering own sales and team target in excess of £20million+.

Internal Sales

We are looking for a sales hungry hunter to open up new B2B sales opportunities to Captec.

You provide the right level of experience, a strong desire to work in the technology industry, great customer service skills and the confidence to go and get the sales and we’ll provide exposure to all elements of sales techniques, the opportunity to provide first class solutions to support customer needs, the opportunity to communicate with key stakeholders in many different sectors and the responsibility for driving your own performance and career development.

This internal sales role will contribute towards the growth of our business. We need people who are able to prospect efficiently, understand the concept of solution selling and have the confidence to close their sales.

The successful candidate will engage in sales and proactive campaign activities. They will gain end-to-end awareness and exposure to all matters relating to the development of business and the building of customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake market research to define target suspects for business generation campaigns
along defined vertical sectors or target product groups.
• To be responsible for an agreed Sales target and be proactive in reaching this
expectation.
• Attend exhibitions as and when required.
• Proactively call suspects to create a pipeline of interested prospects.
• Carry out day to day business development and account management activities.
• Participate in the recordkeeping of marketing and engagement information on a central
CRM system.
• Build long lasting relationships to maintain the accounts you manage and support.
• Proactively research and develop an appropriate knowledge of customer business
intelligence & requirements.
• Participate in the achievement of both individual and team sales targets.

Required Experience & Skillset:

• 2 years of sales and customer service experience.
• Experience of, or a strong interest in, technology, specifically computer hardware.

• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes (specifically CRM Package and
sales processes)
• Knowledgeable and competent user of current day office automation packages (i.e.

Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of engineering and product development goals. If you are an ambitious professional looking to develop your career in a fast-moving and growing engineering team, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Reporting to the Engineering Services Group Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing projects on a day-to-day basis on time and within budget, at an exciting time of growth for our business. You will be managing a diversity of projects, including electromechanical design, electronic hardware, integration and innovation based around computing solutions.

The successful candidate will come from an engineering environment with experience of the project management involving the development of electromechanical or electronic equipment.

Required Experience & Skillset:
  • Minimum of six years managing projects involving mechanical, electronic, electromechanical hardware.
  • Track record of successfully managing and implementing multiple projects (5-10 concurrently) to time and budget. Ability to apply principles and practices of project management.
  • Experience of managing a mix of multi-project portfolio of short duration express projects (one-four weeks) with longer duration, more complex projects (one-six months).
  • Experience of working in a matrix structure, engaging with multidisciplinary teams and negotiating with other department managers for required resource to complete projects.
  • Organise and motivate the project team by enthusiastically communicating the project plan, allocating clear responsibilities and actions.
  • Ability to independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques and procedures to suit project of varying complexity
  • Ability to create detailed, written project plans which reflect the key deliverables, specify the project steps/phases/milestones, lists key dependencies, identifies risks, and incorporates contingency planning.
  • Ability to ensure all project documentation is created and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to undertake comprehensive project reviews, driving project completion deliverables to the required timescale and budget.
  • Competent in using MS Project and MS Office products in general.
  • Graduate in engineering related subject or qualified by experience.
  • Broad range of project management approaches towards a flexible environment and reporting structure allowing for process and project team development within the existing engineering department.

To support company growth, a new position has arisen for a Strategic Partner Manager. You will be working with leading companies in the technology field such as Dell, HP and IBM to promote Captec specialised computing and tablet platforms in completing their offerings to Enterprise customers.

You will be responsible for managing the engagement contact with these accounts working with them and through their ecosystem to identify and develop new sales opportunities.

What will make you successful in this role?  No doubt it will be your strong background in high level networking, partner management and building mutually beneficial relationships. You will also be commercially astute in identifying, nurturing and closing business opportunities working in tandem with partners.

Working predominantly out of a home office with regular monthly visits to the company’s offices in Fareham (Hampshire).

• A minimum of 5+ year’s track record in partner or channel management.
• Proven experience in delivering new sales opportunities in excess of £5million+.
