    • In-vehicle data capture platforms for reliable communications and immediate decision making
    • Platforms must be easily transported and use minimal in-vehicle space
    • Keep field staff continually connected throughout the working day
    • Platforms and docking station have to be rugged and robust, while remaining cost-effective
    • Operational in dusty, wet and harsh environments, shock and vibration resistant

    • Captec sourced, modified and installed a high performance Getac T800 8.1-inch rugged tablet
    • The compact, lightweight design saves vehicle space and increases agility
    • Specification of mobile connectivity keeps field workers in constant contact, while a nine-hour battery life and hot swappable battery packs minimise downtime
    • Usage of modified off-the-shelf components, including a docking station, achieves ruggedisation while retaining cost-effectiveness
    • MIL-STD-810G certification: shock, vibration and six-foot drop resistant, with IP65 front panel
    • Captec’s installation engineers met vehicles onsite during production to perform installation for maximum efficiency
    • Engineers ensured safety consistency of build throughout the fleet by performing a vehicle audit and working to precise build instructions and wiring schematics
