We are delighted to announce that we have been named as a top performing mid-market company in the Central South for the second consecutive year.
As the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of specialist computing platforms, we have been recognised as one of the region’s top 20 companies achieving sustained growth in international turnover.
In August 2016, accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP, conducted its annual analysis of the mid-market. The mid-market represents companies turning over between £10m and £300m.
Companies were assessed by measuring compound growth in overseas revenue in the previous three years, with a minimum of £0.5m having to be filed in year three. The results highlighted us as one of the Central South’s success stories, demonstrating exceptionally strong overseas expansion.
Acknowledgement from BDO follows a successful 2016, which saw us receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, one of the UK’s highest accolades for business success. It recognised outstanding international trade results, a positive business impact upon society, strong business relations and corporate social responsibility.
During the three years in which the assessment took place, we were also named in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100 and included in the FTSE’s directory of Companies to Inspire Britain.
We have been developing specialist computer platforms for over 30 years, in which time we have grown from a one-man operation to a market leader with over 100 employees and an international reach. Our areas of expertise also include rack integration, mobile tablet design and installation, engineering design services and comprehensive through life technical support.
Professor Max Toti, our CEO, said:
“We are delighted to be the recipient of this fantastic award, especially as it is our second in succession. It recognises the achievements of all our businesses stakeholders, and encourages us to push even further.”
Kim Hayward, BDO International Liaison Partner, said:
“Mid-market companies continue to drive growth in the Central South region, but in the face of unprecedented uncertainty, many of the boundaries that govern the way companies do business are changing or disappearing.
We need ambitious businesses to be bold and flexible in achieving their international aspirations. Captec is a great example of a business that has embraced market opportunities and we hope they continue to build on their success.”
