The SEM-ICOM101 is a dual-port isolated serial communication Scalable Expansion Module designed to extend the connectivity of the Cincoze MD-3000 embedded computer. Providing two electrically isolated RS-232/422/485 interfaces with DB9 connectors, it supports communication with industrial control equipment, measurement devices and other serial peripherals. With 2.75kV RMS electrical isolation and baud rates up to 921.6 kbps, the module supports serial connectivity where electrical separation is required. Its PCIe x4 interface and single-slot design enable integration within the MD-3000 modular computing architecture.

The SEM-ICOM101 provides two electrically isolated serial ports supporting RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 communication through DB9 connectors. With baud rates up to 921.6 kbps, it enables communication between the MD-3000 and compatible industrial control, monitoring and measurement equipment.
Each serial interface incorporates electrical isolation rated at 2.75kV RMS, providing separation between the serial communication circuitry and connected equipment. This supports integration where potential differences and electrical interference must be considered, particularly in industrial automation and control environments.
Connecting through a PCIe x4 interface, the SEM-ICOM101 occupies one position within a compatible Scalable Expansion Deck. Its 24.9 × 111.7 × 152.2 mm enclosure and tool-free, plug-and-play design support the addition of isolated serial connectivity without replacing the MD-3000 host computer.
