Captec to Host Rack Integration Masterclass with Dell, Rittal and Kontron

Captec, designers and manufacturers of specialist computer platforms, are teaming up with Dell, Kontron and Rittal to host a Rack Integration Masterclass. The event will be held at Captec’s headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire, on Wednesday 23rd March, and is free to attend.

Last year, Captec hosted a series of Masterclasses to considerable success, with guests from the aerospace, automation and electronics sectors represented. The additions of Dell, Kontron and Rittal combines the expertise of four industry leading figures, giving attendees the tools needed to improve their 19-inch rack integration decision making.

Each company will present how its knowledge, capabilities and solutions can be used to optimise projects. To round off the presentations, Captec will outline the scope of its rack design and integration capabilities. Guests will then be given the chance to join a forum discussion with representatives from the four businesses to share experiences and opinions on integration best practice.

Captec will complete the agenda by giving a guided tour of its industry-leading facilities. It has recently invested heavily in its rack production capacity, with ten bays of cellular manufacture for lower volume production and lean flow lines for higher volumes.

The integration of complex computers and components into 19-inch rack systems is challenging, misunderstood and often underestimated. To meet the needs of a growing market, the Masterclass has been designed to highlight areas of risks and provide attendees with advice on how to confront and mitigate them.

Lee Town, Captec External Account Manager, said: “The Masterclass is a great opportunity for our customers to share their experiences in the challenges of rack integration.

It also represents a chance for companies to gain a good insight into our methods and capabilities in providing configured rack enclosure solutions.”

Captec have already scheduled a follow up event to be held on Thursday 6th April at Dell’s Solution Centre in Bracknell.
